CALENDAR RAFFLE HAS BEGUN
 The OSV Calendar Raffle has begun for February......

Any player who has not brought in her sold/unsold calendars and payments MUST DO SO THIS WEEK----NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!

OSV Financial Statements have been Sent!
The OSV Financial Statements have been sent. 
There was an error on the first statement which Pete corrected and resent.  Everyone should have an updated statement.

Calendar Raffle Sales Profit will be applied to each player's statement as payment and stubs are collected.  An updated balance will be provided upon request or will be available when the second payment statement is emailed in late February.

Anyone who needs additional calendars willl be able to pick them up today.

JANUARY, 2012 PAYMENTS

The January Statements will be sent electronically to all families.  Please check your email mailboxes within the next few days.

All accounts should be paid up to date which includes:
tryout fee, $250 deposit, AND January payment (first payment). 

Any account not paid up to date (excluding payment plans) will be subject to interest charge until amount is paid.  Player's equipment will not be administered until account is current.

INCLEMENT WEATHER / PRACTICE CANCELLATION PROTOCOL

INCLEMENT WEATHER /PRACTICE CANCELLATION

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR COACH HAS THE BEST PHONE NUMBER TO REACH A PARENT AND PLAYER IF WE MUST CANCEL PRACTICE.

In the case of inclement weather and we have to cancel practice, the following protocol will be followed:

1. Coach(es) will be informed by Coach B if WWCC will be open or not.
2. Coaches will contact each player to inform if practice is cancelled.

3. If RIDOT states that all roads are safe for drivers, practice will be held.

ALL OSV TEAMS--as of MONDAY, DECEMBER 19
IMPORTANT:  There are still some players that have not been fitted for their uniforms. 
Please contact Coach B ASAP. 

IMPORTANT:  The OSV Calendar Raffle Sheets are IN!   Each player will be given 15 calendars. 
The cost is $20 for 60 days of chances to win. 
Profit to Player:  $10 per calendar sheet sold. 
(Sell 20 sheets x $20=$400 /2=$200 PROFIT TO PLAYER ($200 TO OSV to pay for prizes)
Player must return top stub filled out along with payment.  Mr. B will credit the player's account with profit earned.

OSV STORE IS OPEN!!!!!
The OSV Store will be open on Wednesday, December 21 from 5:30PM to 7:30PM.  A great opportunity to purchase that stocking stuffer or special gift for your special volleyball player.

ALL TEAMS--PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

1.  UNIFORMS--ALL Players should be sized for their uniforms by Sunday, December 18. 
(Overall Order will be placed on Monday, December 19)

2.  DEPOSIT--ALL Player's Deposits of $250 should be paid.  This payment must be received in order to expedite the uniform order.  Please Contact Coach B or Mr. B

3.  HOLIDAY PARTY--Sunday, Dec. 18  4PM to 6PM
Families and Players are invited for this annual event.
Come ready to play volleyball--parents vs. players.
Sign Up with Your Coach for Buffet donation....hot, cold, or dessert.  OSV will provide paper products and drinks

4. OSV STORE-The store is open.  Additional items will be arriving weekly. 

5.  CALENDAR RAFFLE--Calendars are available. Each Player will be given twenty calendars to sell for $20 each.  Everyone's participation is encouraged to make this event a successful one.......

6.  TEAM CALLING LISTS will be available the week of December. 12.  Any corrections should be directed to Coach B.

7.  BOOSTER CLUB--Parents are needed to assist with our 2012 fundraising events.  Please contact Coach B by December 20.  First Meeting will be Sunday, January 8.

MANDATORY PARENT'S MEETING ON SUNDAY, DEC. 4

We wouldl like for all parents to attend a Team Meeting with their
Coach(es) and Coach B on Sunday.


A Meeting Time Schedule will be provided this afternoon. 


The meeting will last no more than 30 minutes.  The teams will be fitted for uniforms as well.

2011-2012 Season--Welcome to Ocean State Volleyball
The ~NEWS FROM THE BENCH~ area is the communication center for all club news, announcements, and updates.

Please check this area before you leave for practice and/or a tournament for any unforeseen changes/updates.

Each Team will have an OSV Team name once the season begins.  This  identification will make it much easier for parents and players to obtain THEIR TEAM information.

Our fundraising event will begin December 1.  ALL FAMILIES are asked to participate for the benefit of their player and the club.

SUMMER LEAGUE---MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAM
ATTENTION ALL SUMMER LEAGUE MIDDLE SCHOOL PLAYERS

We will be moving the program from Mondays and Wednesdays to
Tuesdays and Thursdays.....6PM to 8PM (same time) and same place.

We appreciate everyone's cooperation and understanding for this change.
